The families that actually do something - and what each one is for.
How to tell a protein product from a moisture one, from the label, before she buys it.
A straight answer for the client who asks what she should be using at home.
The back of the bottle is the honest part
The front of the bottle is marketing. It will tell you the same shampoo is hydrating, repairing, strengthening and volumising in one breath - which is how you know none of it means much. The back is chemistry. Once you can sort the back into families, most of the aisle sorts itself, and you can answer "what should I be using?" in one sentence, standing right there in front of the shelf. One page. Print it, or keep it in your phone.
About Miranda Furtado
I'm Miranda Furtado - hairstylist, hair extension specialist and educator. I built UNBRANDED because stylists deserve education that isn't a sales pitch for somebody's product line. No brand pays me to say any of this. The Aisle Card is the short version of what I teach inside The Science of Hair.
